Meet Clayton Whitt, our Head of Sales for the Central region, based in Dallas, TX. Clayton joined Vend during an exciting phase of growth—and he’s been helping us raise the bar ever since.

Name: Clayton Whitt
Role:
Head of Sales, Central
Location:
Dallas, TX

What brought you to Vend?

Vend’s in such an exciting spot right now—growing fast, making real impact, and pushing the industry forward in a big way. The chance to join at this stage, where things are moving quickly and there’s so much opportunity to help shape what’s next, was too good to pass up.

It’s rare to find a company that’s balancing strong execution with real innovation, and I wanted to be part of that.

What were you doing before you joined Vend?

I spent about six years at JustPark (formerly ParkHub), wearing many hats over that time, but most recently leading public sector business development. It was a great experience that gave me a front-row seat to how technology is reshaping the mobility and parking landscape.

What’s your favorite part of working at Vend?

Everyone here is an A-player—super sharp, driven, and genuinely invested in what we’re building. It’s rare to find a team where every person raises the bar, and that makes the work both exciting and fun.

What do you like most about the work we do here?

I love how disruptive we are. We’re challenging an industry that’s been doing things the same way for decades, and it’s exciting to see how much impact that’s having.

We’re not just tweaking around the edges; we’re actually changing how the business works and delivering real, measurable results. It’s fun to be part of something that’s shaking things up for the better.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

One thing I’m really proud of—and maybe a little selfishly—was closing a deal with the San Antonio Spurs. I’ve been a Spurs fan my whole life, which I know doesn’t really make sense for someone growing up in Dallas.

At my last company, our core focus was professional sports, and I helped bring the Spurs on board. That one definitely meant a little more than others.

How did you get started in the industry?

Probably like most—completely by accident. As I was wrapping up college, I had no idea what I wanted to do.

One day, I read an article about a Dallas company that worked with sports teams and had just raised a round of funding. I figured, why not reach out and see if they’re hiring? Totally glossed over the tiny detail that it was a parking tech company.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation—I’d never be “running late” again… unless it’s on purpose.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Courtide at an NBA Finals game—the Spurs playing, of course.

Final thoughts?

Parking might not be the flashiest industry, but what we’re doing at Vend is anything but ordinary. We’re using AI and automation to redefine operations and revenue in commercial real estate—and that’s a mission I’m proud to be part of.

Want to join a team that’s redefining what’s possible in commercial real estate? We’re growing fast and looking for bold, driven people to help shape what’s next.
