Q: Hi Brooke! First of all, welcome to On the Spot! To start-off the interview, what brought you to Vend?
A: I was initially drawn to Vend by the strength of its team, consisting of individuals with impressive backgrounds and infectious energy. Collaborating with such a talented group of people has been both inspiring and motivating. The second thing that captured my attention was Vend's disruptive product. The company’s innovative approach to parking makes sense, for both the end user and the property owners, and I was surprised that it wasn't already ubiquitous in the market. With the team's exceptional skills and the game-changing nature of the product, I firmly believe that Vend is poised for extraordinary success.
Q: I couldn't agree more! And what were your past work experiences before you joined Vend?
A: Before I joined Vend I was in sales at Salesforce and Gong, and was most recently running my own company helping early stage companies build out their outbound sales motion.
Q: Since you joined Vend, what has been your favorite part of working with us?
A: My favorite part of working at Vend is that every day brings something new and different. I appreciate the opportunity to work cross-collaboratively with different arms of the business. This environment allows me to gain valuable insights from colleagues in various departments, fostering a holistic understanding of our operations. Overall, the fast-paced growth of the company and the collaborative atmosphere make working at Vend a fulfilling and exciting experience.
Q: What are your goals for the next few months/years?
A: My goal in the next few months is to focus on understanding the CRE industry and the parking tech landscape. By gaining deeper insights into these sectors, I aim to match the clients I work with with the best solutions that can help them maximize their Net Operating Income (NOI). My objective is to provide the best parking technology solutions that optimize the efficiency and profitability of our clients.
Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
A: I am currently reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, and watching Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
